Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RatePocket is operated by an individual developer using the name Tradali. Tradali is a developer/publishing name, not a registered company. Contact: support.tradali@gmail.com. Brand site: tradali.com. Product site: ratepocket.tradali.com.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

2. The service

RatePocket provides tools that may include:

• An on-device calculator
• Currency conversion using exchange-rate data
• Spending / budget tracking stored primarily on your device
• Optional exports (for example CSV/PDF)
• Optional Cloud Backup and sync (requires an active subscription and Google sign-in)
• Optional AI-assisted receipt scanning (where available)
• Advertising in the free experience (where enabled)

Core calculator and local tracking features are designed to work without an account. Cloud Backup requires an active subscription and Google sign-in, as described in the app and on Google Play.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law. RatePocket is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

4. Accounts and Cloud Backup

• You may use RatePocket without creating an account.
• If you enable Cloud Backup, you authenticate with Google. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for activity under that account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You may sign out in the app. Local data remains on the device unless you clear it.
• You may delete your Cloud Backup account in Settings → Account & data → Delete account (when signed in), or request deletion via our Delete account page / support.tradali@gmail.com.

5. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use RatePocket on devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use, in accordance with Google Play’s terms and these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer (except to the extent permitted by law), or misuse the app or our branding.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use RatePocket for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise our services, backends, or other users
• Bypass subscription, billing, advertising, or security controls
• Upload or store content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have rights to
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting support
• Use automated means to scrape or abuse the app or APIs in a way that harms the service

We may suspend or terminate access (including Cloud Backup) if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or if required to protect the service or other users.

7. Your content and responsibility

Spending entries, notes, categories, budgets, and similar information you enter (“User Content”) belong to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of User Content and for backing up important data.

If you enable Cloud Backup, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and sync User Content solely to provide Cloud Backup and related support. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

RatePocket is a personal finance tool, not a bank, payment processor, tax advisor, or investment advisor. You remain responsible for your financial decisions.

8. Purchases, subscriptions, and Google Play Billing

Paid features may include, for example:

• One-time export credit (consumable)
• Lifetime Export Pass (one-time unlock for unlimited exports and related local benefits described in the app)
• Cloud Backup monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions (backup/sync and related entitlements while active)

On Android, purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play. Payment processing, taxes (where applicable), receipts, renewals, and refunds are handled under Google Play’s terms and refund policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Auto-renewing subscriptions:

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You can manage or cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (or equivalent Play subscription settings)
• Cancellation stops future renewals; you typically keep access until the end of the current paid period
• Prices shown in the app are provided by Google Play and may vary by country/currency

If a purchase fails, is refunded, or an entitlement expires, paid features may stop unlocking until entitlement is restored. Use “Restore purchases” in the app when switching devices or reinstalling.

Ads may remain present even when you purchase Cloud Backup or Lifetime Export Pass, as disclosed in the app.

9. Advertising

The free experience may display ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ad delivery and measurement are subject to Google’s advertising policies and privacy practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Third-party services

RatePocket relies on third parties, which may include Google (Sign-In, Play Billing, AdMob / UMP), RevenueCat (purchase entitlements), Supabase (Cloud Backup backend and receipt-scan function), exchange-rate data providers, and OpenAI (optional receipt image analysis). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or content outside our control.

11. Exchange rates, AI features, and accuracy

Currency rates, conversions, totals, and AI receipt suggestions are provided as is for convenience. Rates can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Optional AI receipt scans upload your selected image for processing and can misread receipts. Always verify amounts before relying on them for decisions. See the Privacy Policy for what is transmitted.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features (including free and paid features) with reasonable notice where practical. We may change these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes to paid subscriptions will be handled in line with Google Play requirements and applicable law.

13. Intellectual property

The RatePocket app, name, logos, and related materials are owned by the individual developer operating under the name Tradali, or by licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATEPOCKET AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those places, disclaimers apply only to the extent allowed.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPER OPERATING RATEPOCKET UNDER THE NAME TRADALI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF RATEPOCKET.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR RATEPOCKET FEATURES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (EXCLUDING AMOUNTS RETAINED BY GOOGLE PLAY AS PLATFORM FEES WHERE APPLICABLE), OR (B) USD $50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, certain liability for fraud or personal injury).

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the individual developer operating under the name Tradali from claims arising out of your misuse of the app, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Termination

You may stop using RatePocket at any time by uninstalling the app and, if applicable, cancelling subscriptions in Google Play and requesting Cloud Backup deletion.

We may suspend or terminate Cloud Backup or other networked features if you breach these Terms, if required by law or Google Play policy, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

18. Export and regional compliance

You must comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws. You may not use RatePocket if you are prohibited from receiving the app under the laws of your jurisdiction or Google Play’s distribution rules.

19. Governing law

These Terms are subject to applicable law. No specific governing jurisdiction or court venue is designated here. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply where they cannot be waived. For questions about these Terms, contact support.tradali@gmail.com.

20. Google Play and platform terms

Your use of RatePocket obtained from Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and related Google policies. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Google’s mandatory platform terms regarding billing or distribution, Google’s platform terms control for that subject.
